Zone 25 has asked that the following info be sent out to members, especially if you’re planning on attending Paterson River Interclub but these rules apply to all pony club events.

Gear checkers are responsible for ensuring that all gear is safe and to pay particular attention to the following
• All stitching i.e. stirrup leathers, reins, girth points, girths etc.
• Stirrups are not too small or large for competitor and not too smooth on the tread surface.
• 10mm clearance is required at each side of the boot.
It is the responsibility of pony club members to read and follow the rules as per PCANSW for Gear and Uniform regulation.
• Full pony club uniform is to be worn, this does include club saddlecloth (shirt and tie for draft).
• Any rein (split or otherwise) must not hang below the toe of the riders boot in the stirrup or the point of the horses elbow whichever is higher.
• boots – quite a few riders failed gear check with cuban heels & boots with laces
• stirrup irons that are too small for rider’s boots
• Riding pants must cover the top of boots
• You will not be allowed to ride if you show up with unsafe gear.
